The CI830 3BSE013252R1 is compact Remote I/O Communication Module for ABB AC800M DCS platform, it serves as stable AC800M Fieldbus Adapter Unit for connecting S100 distributed remote I/O stations.

This module is specially designed for S100 remote I/O system, it can connect up to 8 S100 I/O stations. It transmits digital and analog field signals between distributed I/O devices and AC800M main CPU through fieldbus and CEX‑Bus backplane bus. Hot‑swap function allows module replacement without powering off the control rack, effectively shortens equipment maintenance downtime.

Front‑panel LED indicators display module power supply status, CEX‑Bus bus and fieldbus link condition. Built‑in hardware self‑diagnosis can detect bus short‑circuit, open‑circuit and module internal faults, fault alarm information will be uploaded to DCS operator workstation.
