Products Description
Control Techniques 095U3D300CFFCB Encoder Feedback Unit

Module Feature
095U3D300CFFCB (part number 100190) is a high precision optical rotary encoder manufactured by Control Techniques, designed for servo motor position feedback. It adopts non-contact optical grating sensing to convert shaft rotation into digital quadrature signals. Differential line-driver A/B/Z phase output greatly improves noise immunity for long cable runs inside industrial test racks. The metal shield housing suppresses electromagnetic interference from servo power circuits. Built-in BIT diagnostic continuously monitors LED light source and signal receive path integrity; fault status can be read via drive register. Rugged mechanical structure with reinforced bearing assembly, shock and vibration screened for power plant cabinet environment, widely used in servo axis control, aerospace ground test bench and hardware-in-loop real-time simulation chassis.
Working principle
When servo motor shaft rotates, the coupled grating disc turns synchronously. Infrared LED passes through the grating slits and is captured by photodiode array to generate A/B quadrature pulses and Z reference index pulse. Differential drivers transmit these signals to Control Techniques servo drive feedback port. BIT circuit checks optical signal amplitude and power rail condition to report hardware fault. Metal shield prevents EMI from high-current power cables corrupting position signals.
Onboard components
Infrared LED light source, precision optical grating disc, photodiode receiver array,RS-422 differential line driver, metal shielding housing, precision shaft bearing assembly,multi-pin feedback connector,BIT power and signal detection hardware.
LED indicators
LED indicator for power supply status and BIT fault alarm.
Hardware self-diagnosis
Visual inspection of housing, shaft and connector;BIT optical signal and power supply test;A/B/Z phase waveform check;shaft rotation smoothness inspection.
Programming software
Control Techniques Unidrive Tools software, supports encoder configuration, position monitoring and BIT fault log reading.
