Control Techniques UNI1401 Unidrive Classic AC Drive Unit

Module Feature

UNI1401 belongs to Unidrive Classic universal AC drive series manufactured by Control Techniques. Rated 0.75kW, it supports V/F and open-loop vector control, compatible with standard asynchronous induction motors. Compact panel-mounted design with built-in cooling fan. Optional expansion slots available for encoder feedback and communication modules. Widely applied in conveyors, small pumps, fans and simple automation equipment.

Working principle

Three-phase AC mains is rectified to DC bus. IGBT power stage outputs adjustable voltage and frequency AC to control motor speed and torque. The drive executes speed profile according to analog or digital command signals. Built-in brake circuit handles regenerative energy during motor deceleration.

Installation

Follow ESD safety procedure before handling.Mount vertically and reserve ventilation clearance.Connect three-phase mains to L1/L2/L3 terminals and motor cable to U/V/W terminals.Separate power cable and signal wiring to reduce EMI interference.Complete motor auto-tune before commissioning.
