Module Feature

UNI1405 is Unidrive classic series universal AC drive manufactured by Control Techniques,rated 4.0kW. It supports multiple control modes including V/F,open-loop vector,closed-loop flux vector and high performance servo control for Unimotor series brushless servo motors. It has flexible built-in digital and analog I/O and optional expansion slots for communication encoder cards. Widely applied in machine tools,packaging machines,material handling and general automation motion systems.

Working principle

Three-phase AC power passes through rectifier to form DC bus voltage. IGBT power module converts DC into adjustable frequency and voltage AC output. The drive receives command signals from upper controller, compares with encoder feedback signal to form closed-loop regulation,adjust torque,speed and position dynamically. Built-in braking transistor handles regenerative energy during motor deceleration.

Installation

Follow ESD safety procedure before handling.Mount vertically in control cabinet,reserve sufficient ventilation space around heat sink.Connect 3-phase mains to L1/L2/L3 terminals,motor cable to U/V/W terminals.Wire control signals with shielded cable to reduce EMI.Connect encoder cable when running servo mode.Power on and complete motor auto-tune before commissioning.

Diagnostic

Over current:motor winding short,damaged cable or mechanical jam. Overheat:blocked heat sink or continuous overload. Encoder fault:loose wiring or encoder hardware damage. Under voltage:input power loss or unstable mains supply.
