Control Techniques UNI3405 Unidrive Classic AC Drive Unit

Module Feature

UNI3405 belongs to Unidrive Classic high-performance universal AC drive manufactured by Control Techniques,rated 37kW(50HP). It supports open-loop V/F,open-loop vector,closed-loop flux vector and four-quadrant servo/regeneration control,compatible with standard induction motors and Unimotor FM permanent magnet servo motors. Built-in encoder interface and optional expansion slots for fieldbus communication and motion control modules. Widely used in heavy-duty winding machines,extruders,large machine tools and equipment requiring regenerative braking.

Working principle

Three-phase 50/60Hz AC mains is rectified to DC bus. IGBT power stage outputs adjustable voltage and frequency AC. Regeneration version feeds motor braking energy back to power grid for energy saving. The drive receives analog,digital or fieldbus command signal; encoder feedback enables high-precision closed-loop torque,speed and position control.

Installation

Follow ESD safety procedure before handling.Mount vertically and reserve enough ventilation clearance.Separate power cable and signal wiring to reduce EMI interference.Connect three-phase mains to L1/L2/L3 terminals and motor cable to U/V/W terminals.Complete motor auto-tune and signal test before commissioning.

Diagnostic
