Module Feature

This 30kW Unidrive universal AC drive is manufactured by Control Techniques, supporting 50Hz / 60Hz grid input frequency. It provides V/F, open-loop vector, closed-loop vector and high-performance servo control modes for induction motors and Unimotor permanent magnet servo motors. Rich digital & analog I/O terminals and optional expansion slots for encoder feedback and fieldbus communication. Widely used in machine tools, winding machines, metal processing and heavy-duty automation equipment.

Working principle

Three-phase AC power at 50/60Hz is rectified to DC bus voltage. IGBT power module converts DC into adjustable frequency and adjustable voltage AC output. The drive receives motion command from upper controller, compares command value with encoder feedback signal to realize closed-loop torque, speed and position regulation. Built-in brake transistor handles regenerative energy during motor deceleration.

Installation

Follow ESD safety procedure before handling.Mount vertically in control cabinet with sufficient ventilation clearance.Connect three-phase mains power to L1/L2/L3 terminals and motor cable to U/V/W terminals.Use shielded cable for encoder and control I/O wiring to reduce EMI interference.Complete motor auto-tune before commissioning.

Diagnostic
