Emerson Control Techniques SP4403 Unidrive SP AC Drive Unit

Module Feature

SP4403 belongs to Unidrive SP series universal AC drive manufactured by Emerson Control Techniques,rated 45kW heavy duty /55kW normal duty. It supports V/F,open-loop vector,closed-loop flux vector,RFC rotor flux control,servo and four-quadrant regenerative control,compatible with induction motors and Unimotor FM permanent magnet servo motors. It is equipped with digital and analog I/O terminals,SM expansion slots for encoder feedback and fieldbus communication modules. Built-in dynamic braking transistor and Modbus RTU over RS485 interface. Widely used in winders,extruders,mixers,conveyors and heavy-duty factory automation equipment.

Working principle

Three-phase 50/60Hz AC mains power is rectified to DC bus. IGBT power module converts DC into adjustable voltage and frequency AC output. The drive receives analog,digital or fieldbus command signals. Encoder feedback enables high-precision closed-loop speed and position regulation. Built-in dynamic braking circuit absorbs regenerative energy during motor rapid deceleration.

Installation

Follow ESD safety procedure before handling.Mount vertically and reserve sufficient ventilation gap.Separate power cables and signal cables to reduce EMI interference.Connect three-phase mains to L1/L2/L3 terminals and motor cable to U/V/W terminals.Complete motor auto-tune and parameter commissioning before operation.

Diagnostic
