FunctionThis SDM termination assembly serves as signal marshalling terminal board for discrete I/O. It receives field digital switch signals and relay control signals, routes signals to SDM discrete module via ribbon cable. It provides screw terminals for easy field cable termination, isolates and organizes digital I/O wiring between field instruments and DCS I/O cards.

InstallationPower off the rack chassis before installation. Mount the termination assembly on cabinet rail. Connect ribbon cable between this MTA and SDM discrete module. Terminate field discrete cables to screw terminals following wiring drawing. Check wiring continuity after installation.
