Products Description

SUSPENDED Suspension Insulator Unit

Module Feature

SUSPENDED insulator is a composite suspension type insulator widely used in overhead power transmission lines.

It consists of fiberglass epoxy resin core rod, silicone rubber housing and metal end fittings. It features light weight, high pollution flashover resistance, hydrophobic surface and anti-aging performance. It supports different mechanical failure load grades for distribution and sub-transmission power grid, suitable for heavy fog, coastal salt spray and industrial pollution areas.

Working principle

The core rod provides mechanical tensile strength to support conductor weight and wind load.

Silicone rubber shed maintains surface insulation distance and prevents leakage current tracking. It isolates high voltage conductor from grounded tower, blocks leakage current under wet and contaminated conditions.

Onboard components

Fiberglass reinforced epoxy core rod, silicone rubber weather shed, galvanized steel end fitting, sealing interface.

LED indicators

No built-in LED indicators. Insulation degradation and core rod crack need to be checked by live-line inspection or testing equipment.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

No embedded self-diagnosis function. Condition monitoring depends on external insulator tester and UV/IR inspection.

Programming software

No supporting configuration software.

Electrical & Process Parameters
