System compatibility

XVME-500/4 belongs to XYCOM XVME series analog acquisition module.

It installs in XYCOM VME chassis and cooperates with XVME series CPU and I/O modules.

Compatible with turbine,compressor and legacy DCS control systems via VME bus.

Commonly used for power plant,oil & gas,petrochemical old equipment maintenance and spare replacement.

Function

Analog sensor signal collection for VME control rack.

Support two wiring modes:single-ended and differential input,differential mode suppress common-mode interference.

12-bit high precision ADC,collect voltage signals from pressure,temperature,flow and displacement sensors.

Multiple selectable voltage ranges to adapt different transmitter output signals.

Onboard sampling control circuit,support software trigger and hardware trigger sampling.

Transmit converted digital data to VME host CPU over VME backplane.

Onboard self-test for analog front-end,ADC circuit,data bus and VME bus interface fault inspection.

Installation

Power off VME chassis.

Insert XVME-500/4 card into empty single-slot VME position,tighten front panel fixing screw.

Set base address and interrupt level via board jumpers.

Connect sensor analog wiring to front panel 50pin JKl header.

Power on chassis,run hardware self-test.

VME CPU scans bus,identifies the board and starts analog signal acquisition.

Interface

VME P1 backplane connector,front panel 50pin JKl analog input header,LED indicators:PASS,FAULT.

Feature

Single slot 6U VME multi-channel analog input board,XYCOM XVME series.

Flexible channel configuration,switch between 32SE /16DI via jumper setting.

Multiple bipolar/unipolar voltage ranges,suitable for various industrial sensors.

High input impedance,reduce signal attenuation during transmission.

Front 50pin termination header,easy wiring and maintenance.

VME slave interface,easy plug-in installation.

Discontinued obsolete VME module,supply only for old production system spare replacement.

Vibration resistant PCB design,suitable for turbine control cabinet.

Diagnostic

FAULT LED on:ADC or analog front-end circuit damage,VME bus communication failure;

Cannot be identified by CPU:check VME backplane contact and base address jumper setting;

Reading drift/unstable:check sensor wiring,shield grounding and common mode interference;

No analog reading:verify signal range configuration and wiring continuity.

Product Brief

XYCOM XVME-500/4 is legacy VMEbus 12-bit multi-channel analog input module.

It provides high-precision analog signal acquisition for VME control rack,widely used as spare part for turbine and compressor control,petrochemical and power plant old DCS renovation.
