The CI858‑1 3BSE018137R1 is dedicated AFP Fieldbus Adapter Module for ABB AC800M DCS platform, it acts as core S800 I/O Bus Communication Unit for connecting S800 remote I/O stations.

This module adopts ABB proprietary AFP high‑speed fieldbus. It can connect up to 8 sets of S800 I/O stations, transmits large‑scale digital and analog signal data between controller and distributed I/O. It communicates with AC800M main processor through CEX‑Bus backplane bus, ensuring fast and deterministic I/O data refresh. Hot‑swap function supports module replacement without shutting down control rack, reducing system maintenance downtime.

Front‑panel LED indicators display module power status, CEX‑Bus operating state and AFP fieldbus link condition. Built‑in self‑diagnosis function detects bus interruption, short‑circuit and hardware abnormal status. Fault alarm information will be uploaded to DCS operator station. Industrial‑grade circuit design provides good anti‑interference performance for complex industrial control cabinet environment.
