PM891 is an all‑in‑one high‑performance processor unit for ABB AC800M control platform under System 800xA architecture. Compliant with IEC61131‑3 standard, it supports multiple programming languages to handle large‑scale process control, sequence interlock logic and complex analog closed‑loop regulation. It adopts integrated hardware design without separate baseplate, simplifying cabinet layout and installation work.
This CPU supports complete 1:1 hot‑standby redundancy covering CPU, CEX‑Bus, communication interfaces and S800 I/O, achieving fast bumpless switchover for high‑availability continuous‑production sites. Dual isolated Ethernet ports and isolated serial port connect control network, field instruments and engineering tools. The optical ModuleBus can connect up to seven S800 I/O clusters, and CEX‑Bus supports expansion of additional communication interface modules. Equipped with SD card slot for program backup and firmware update. Fully EMC‑certified rugged hardware ensures stable long‑time operation under harsh plant‑site environments.
Typical applications cover thermal power, petrochemical, pulp & paper and large‑scale process manufacturing automation. Back up all application programs before spare replacement and confirm firmware compatibility. Complete redundancy synchronization after installation. Fully disconnect power supply during module maintenance. Suitable for on‑site fault replacement and long‑term spare stocking for running System800xA / AC800M systems.
