Products Description
Control Techniques SP4403 Unidrive SP Drive Unit

Module Feature
SP4403 belongs to Control Techniques Unidrive SP frame 4 universal drive.
It supports asynchronous motor, synchronous servo motor and induction servo motor control. It has three SM option slots for fieldbus and I/O expansion, built-in PLC and encoder feedback interface. This obsolete model is widely used in printing, packaging, textile and conveying equipment motion control system.
Working principle
Three-phase AC power is rectified into DC bus, IGBT unit outputs adjustable PWM AC.
The main board executes V/F, open/closed loop vector or servo algorithm, receives setpoint and encoder feedback signals. It provides full protection including overcurrent, overvoltage, overtemperature and stall, and stores fault codes when protection triggers.
Onboard components
Rectifier bridge, IGBT inverter module, DC bus capacitors, current sampling circuit, main control board, operation keypad, cooling fan, terminal block, expansion slot.
LED indicators
Front LEDs display power, run status, fault alarm and communication link status.
Hardware self‑diagnosis
Power-on self-test and real-time monitoring detect phase loss, earth fault, overtemperature, bus deviation and encoder failure, fault data can be read by software.
Programming software
CTSoft, DriveManager, used for parameter setting, motor auto-tune and fault log backup.
