Function

HD70C4-44S is heavy-duty brushless AC servo motor manufactured by DANAHER MOTION. It converts three-phase power from servo amplifier into precise rotary mechanical torque to drive CNC machine linear or rotary axes. Built-in encoder feeds back real-time shaft position and speed to servo drive for closed-loop positioning control. The thermal sensor monitors stator temperature to prevent motor burnout under overload.

Installation

Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Mount motor flange to machine mechanical base, align shaft coupling carefully. Connect three-phase power cable, encoder feedback cable and thermal sensor cable strictly follow Giddings & Lewis wiring manual. Perform axis homing and load test after mechanical alignment and wiring.
