Function

M.1016.9544 is 32-channel opto-isolated digital input module manufactured by DANAHER MOTION Giddings & Lewis. It collects digital signals from field sensors, limit switches and operator push buttons, then transmits signal status to PIC900 controller through rack backplane. Optical isolation protects CNC main logic from surge and noise coming from machine field wiring. Each LED indicates real-time signal state of corresponding input channel.

Installation

Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Cut off power of PIC900 rack. Insert M.1016.9544 into empty rack slot and lock module handle. Connect field sensor wiring to terminal block according to Giddings & Lewis PIC900 hardware manual. After wiring, power up and test each input point.
