Function

M.1017.4236 is 8-channel opto-isolated analog input module manufactured by DANAHER MOTION Giddings & Lewis. It receives analog signals from pressure transducers, temperature sensors and other field analog devices, converts analog signals to digital data via high precision ADC and transmits data to PIC900 controller through rack backplane. Galvanic isolation protects CNC control logic from field surge and electrical noise.

Installation

Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Cut off power of PIC900 rack. Insert M.1017.4236 into empty rack slot and lock module handle. Connect field analog sensor wiring to terminal connector according to Giddings & Lewis PIC900 hardware manual. Power up and calibrate each analog channel during commissioning.
