Module Feature

PERFORMANCE is the high-performance enhanced gas analyzer of Emerson Rosemount X-STREAM platform.

It is equipped with patented IntrinzX photometric detection technology, supports multiple measurement principles including NDIR infrared, UV, paramagnetic oxygen, TCD thermal conductivity and electrochemistry. One unit can monitor up to 5 gas components simultaneously. It features low temperature drift, strong anti-vibration capability and longer calibration cycle to reduce maintenance work. Multiple housing options are available, including 19-inch rack type, general wall-mounted type and XEFD flameproof type. It is widely applied in power plants, petrochemical plants and waste incineration boilers for CEMS flue gas emission monitoring and combustion optimization control.

Working principle

The light source of the analyzer emits beams with specific wavelengths through the sample gas cell.

Different gas components absorb light of corresponding characteristic wavelengths. The detector collects the light attenuation signal, and the microprocessor calculates gas concentration. Built-in flow, pressure and temperature compensation algorithms ensure stable measurement under complex working conditions. It records fault and calibration logs in real time and uploads operation data to SCADA system via Ethernet or 4-20mA.

Onboard components

Optical photometric measuring unit, sample gas flow control module, main signal processing board, local LCD operation panel, relay alarm output matrix, isolated communication module, power supply unit.

LED indicators

Front LEDs indicate power status, running state, calibration progress and fault alarm.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Continuous self-check detects abnormal sample flow, optical contamination, sensor failure, communication interruption and power anomaly. Fault codes are displayed on local screen and web interface.

Programming software

Emerson Rosemount Analytical Configuration Tool, used for range setting, channel configuration, calibration operation and fault record export.

Installation

Install the analyzer in cabinet or field explosion-proof wall bracket. Connect sample gas pipeline, heat tracing pipe, calibration gas circuit, power supply and communication cables.

Complete zero/span calibration and flow loop test, verify 4-20mA and network communication signals.

Interface

Sample gas inlet/outlet, analog 4-20mA terminals, relay alarm terminals, Ethernet communication port.

Diagnostic

Measurement drift: Contaminated optical cell, clogged sample filter or expired calibration gas.
