Fisher 3710 is spool valve type pneumatic positioner designed for Fisher rotary diaphragm and piston actuators. Function

3710 is pneumatic rotary valve positioner manufactured by Fisher. It compares pneumatic setpoint signal with actual rotary valve position and adjusts actuator air pressure to eliminate position deviation. It supports split range control and single/double acting switching. Spool valve structure ensures fast response and long service life. It is widely used for modulating rotary control valve in process industry.

Installation

Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Cut off instrument air supply. Mount positioner on rotary actuator, connect instrument air tubing and signal tubing. Perform zero and span calibration and full rotary stroke test. Restore air supply and run valve function and leakage inspection.

Diagnostic

Valve no rotation: Loss of supply air or blocked signal tube. Poor positioning accuracy: Zero/span drift or cam wear. Air leaking: Damaged gasket or loose tubing fitting.
