Function

DVC2000 is smart digital valve controller manufactured by Fisher. It receives 4-20mA control signal and precisely adjusts actuator air pressure to position valve stem. It monitors valve travel, supply air pressure and valve health continuously. It supports local LCD operation and remote HART communication for parameter setup and valve diagnostics. It is suitable for general process modulating control valve.

Installation

Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Cut off instrument air and electric power. Mount positioner on valve actuator, connect instrument air tubing and 4-20mA HART signal cable. Run auto calibration and full stroke test. Restore power and air supply, inspect valve operation and alarm function.

Interface

1/4"NPT pneumatic ports, 1/2"NPT electrical conduit port, HART two-wire signal terminals on DVC2000.

Diagnostic

No valve movement: Safety interlock triggered or loss of 4-20mA signal. Poor positioning accuracy: Calibration drift or position sensor fault. High air consumption: Internal pneumatic relay wear.
