Module Feature

Fisher R513X000012 is complete diaphragm repair kit dedicated for Fisher 513 and 513R spring-diaphragm pneumatic actuators. The kit contains reinforced elastomer diaphragm, O-rings, gaskets and dust seal. The diaphragm converts instrument air pressure difference into linear mechanical thrust. Elastomer material has good flexibility and cyclic fatigue resistance. Widely used for maintenance of globe control valves in chemical, oil, gas and power plant.

Function

R513X000012 is full actuator overhaul kit manufactured by Fisher. The diaphragm converts air pressure into linear thrust to operate valve stem. The supporting O-rings and gaskets prevent air leakage inside actuator. Diaphragm rupture, seal aging will lead to thrust loss and continuous air venting. This complete kit is used for field overhaul of 513/513R actuators.

Installation

Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Cut off instrument air supply and release residual air pressure. Disassemble actuator upper and lower casing, replace diaphragm and all sealing components included in the kit. Align diaphragm correctly and cross-tighten casing bolts. Reassemble actuator and run air tightness test and full stroke calibration.

Interface

Sandwich mounted between actuator upper and lower housing, bolt fastened, no LED indicators on R513X000012.

Diagnostic

Insufficient actuator thrust: Diaphragm crack, aging or delamination. Continuous air leaking: Damaged diaphragm or failed O-ring/gasket. Unstable valve stroke: Diaphragm deformation.
