It supports SLCC LAN daughter‑board installation for high‑speed data exchange between exciter and Mark V main controller. Five EPROM chips store full drive firmware; EPROM modules must be transferred during board replacement to retain original unit configuration. 10‑bit LED array outputs fault codes for fast on‑site troubleshooting. G5‑AHD revision improves conformal coating and sampling circuit for enhanced noise immunity, ensuring stable closed‑loop excitation output for generator units.
