T8431C belongs to ICS TRIPLEX Trusted SIS safety instrumented system and installs inside T8300 or T8314 expander rack. It collects analog process signals from field pressure,temperature and flow transmitters,converts analog signals into digital data and transmits triplicated validated data to expander processor. The conformal coating protects PCB circuits from moisture,chemical vapour and dust,ideal for offshore and heavy industrial safety applications. Widely deployed in oil & gas,petrochemical and chemical plants for ESD emergency shutdown and fire & gas safety protection.

Function

T8431C serves as high integrity 40-channel analog input unit of Trusted TMR SIS. It samples 4-20mA or 0-6V analog signals and adopts TMR 2oo3 hardware voting logic to calculate accurate process value. It supports high-speed 0.5ms signal update and 1ms SOE sequence of events recording for fault event trace analysis. Each channel continuously monitors loop health,open circuit and short circuit faults. It supports hot swap replacement without shutting down the safety expansion rack.

Installation

Insert T8431C vertically into dedicated I/O slot of T8300/T8314 expander chassis. Wire field transmitter cables to the corresponding terminal assembly. Verify channel reading and fault alarms via Trusted Workbench engineering software.
