Module Feature

SVHX1500M/G1 is Parker SVHX compact digital servo amplifier for precision motion control.

It delivers 1.5kW output power, supports incremental encoder feedback for closed-loop speed and position regulation. It integrates CANopen fieldbus interface, compatible with Parker servo motors and upper motion controller. It features built-in overcurrent, overvoltage and over-temperature protection, with metal heat sink for continuous heavy-duty operation. This legacy Parker motion series is widely stocked as maintenance spare for machine tool, printing and packaging automation cabinet.

Working principle

Motion command from host controller is received via CANopen bus.

Internal power stage converts DC bus power into three-phase AC for servo motor. Closed-loop algorithm adjusts output current in real time according to encoder feedback signal to maintain target speed and position. Continuous hardware diagnostics detect wiring fault, temperature abnormality and communication interruption, and save fault information for host alarm display.

Onboard components

IGBT power module, DC bus capacitor bank, encoder signal circuit, CANopen communication chip, cooling heat sink, backplane terminal block, status LED bank and shielded metal housing.

LED indicators

Front LEDs indicate power OK, RUN status, enable signal, overload warning and hardware fault alarm.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Built-in supervision detects motor short circuit, DC bus over/under voltage, heatsink overtemperature, encoder signal loss and CAN bus communication failure. Parameter tuning and fault diagnosis are completed by Parker Motion Explorer software.

Programming software

Motion Explorer, used for motor parameter setup, loop gain tuning, CANopen address configuration, fault log reading and firmware download.

Installation

Power off DC bus before replacement.

Confirm DC bus polarity, encoder wiring and CANopen bus termination, reserve ventilation clearance, download servo parameters and test positioning and speed function after commissioning.

Interface

DC bus terminal, motor output terminal, encoder terminal, CANopen communication terminal.

Diagnostic

Overcurrent alarm: Motor cable short circuit, encoder fault or acceleration ramp too steep. CAN communication offline: Bus missing termination resistor, cable damage or node address conflict. No position tracking: Encoder wiring open, wrong pulse type or drive enable missing.
