FunctionThis ultra-compact wire-wound braking resistor consumes regenerative energy generated by motor deceleration. When DC bus voltage rises, the brake chopper activates and releases excess energy through this resistor to suppress overvoltage fault. Terminal block for DC bus wiring, requires external thermal bimetallic relay for overtemperature protection.

InstallationPower off the drive DC bus before installation. Mount BW072-003 vertically inside control cabinet, keep enough air circulation. Separate high voltage braking cables and low voltage control wiring. Connect resistor terminals to brake chopper or drive brake terminals. Install external thermal relay for overheat monitoring. Test braking function after wiring.
