System compatibilityBW090-P52B is SEW BW-P series PTC braking resistor. Only compatible with size 0 MOVIDRIVE MDX60B and MDX61B servo drives. Widely used for miniature conveyor and small packaging machinery, legacy SEW low power servo drive maintenance and spare replacement.

FunctionThis PTC braking resistor consumes regenerative energy generated by motor deceleration. When DC bus voltage rises, the drive internal brake chopper activates and releases excess energy through this resistor to suppress overvoltage fault. Built-in PTC self-limiting thermal protection, no external bimetallic relay required. Cable type wiring for DC bus connection.

InstallationPower off the drive DC bus before installation. Mount BW090-P52B vertically inside control cabinet, keep enough air circulation. Separate high voltage braking cables and low voltage control wiring. Connect resistor cable terminals to drive brake port X3 (+R/-R). After wiring, test braking response before machine operation.

InterfaceBrake power cable terminals, shield grounding terminal.
