Module Feature

SIEB & MEYER 03631490IC01A0 belongs to SD2S series rack plug-in high-frequency spindle servo amplifier. It is designed to drive high-speed synchronous spindle motors equipped with multi-type encoder feedback. It supports ultra-high output frequency, fast dynamic response and stable speed & spindle orientation regulation. Built-in multi-channel voltage, current and temperature monitoring protection circuit. Compact rack plug-in metal housing with excellent EMC and anti-vibration performance. Widely used in PCB routing, semiconductor drilling and CNC milling machines.

Working principle

Three-phase AC input power passes EMI filter and rectifier bridge and converts into stable DC bus. Internal IGBT power stack converts DC bus into adjustable high-frequency three-phase AC power to drive spindle motor. The amplifier continuously collects real-time encoder speed and position feedback signal to execute closed-loop speed and spindle orientation control. When overvoltage, overcurrent or overtemperature fault detected, the amplifier immediately cuts power output and sends fault code to upper rack CNC system for safety interlock.

Function

03631490IC01A0 spindle amplifier manufactured by SIEB & MEYER. It provides high-frequency three-phase power to spindle motor and realizes high-precision speed and angular positioning. Motor overload, cable short-circuit, fan failure or capacitor aging will trigger protection and disable power output. It is core power amplifier unit for SIEB & MEYER rack spindle system.

Installation

Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Cut off all rack power completely. Insert amplifier into designated rack slot and lock handle securely, confirm stable backplane contact. Wire spindle power cable and encoder feedback cable correctly. Configure spindle parameters and run auto-tuning via Drivemaster2 software, test spindle rotation before formal machining.

Diagnostic
