Module Feature

6SE7022-6TP60-Z is Siemens SIMOVERT MASTERDRIVES Motion Control compact plus inverter.

It adopts booksize compact frame, powered by shared DC bus 510~650V DC, rated output 25.5A / 11kW. It supports vector control, V/F control and four-quadrant operation with matching infeed unit. Suffix Z indicates special customized configuration according to original order. It communicates with CUVC control board via internal drive bus, supports pulse encoder feedback for high precision speed and torque control. This series is end-of-life, widely stocked as maintenance spare for textile machine, metallurgical and crane multi-drive cabinet.

Working principle

Stable DC bus voltage is supplied by front-end infeed module.

Internal IGBT power stage converts DC into adjustable frequency and adjustable voltage three-phase AC for motor. Closed-loop vector algorithm calculates torque and speed according to encoder signal. It executes fast current and speed loop regulation, supports rapid braking with regenerative feedback. It continuously monitors overcurrent, DC bus voltage, temperature and pulse signal, locks pulse and triggers alarm when fault occurs, and saves fault codes inside control board.

Onboard components

IGBT power module, DC bus capacitor bank, current sampling circuit, pulse encoder interface, cooling fan, backplane drive bus connector, PMU/OP1S operation panel port, status LED array and metal shield housing.

LED indicators

Front LEDs indicate power active, RUN status, pulse enable, overload warning and hardware fault alarm.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Built-in supervision detects output short circuit, overcurrent, DC bus over/under voltage, heatsink overtemperature, encoder signal loss and communication failure. Parameter tuning and fault diagnosis are completed by Siemens Drive Monitor software.

Programming software

Drive Monitor, used for motor parameter setting, vector loop tuning, acceleration/deceleration ramp, fault log reading and firmware download.

Installation

Power off DC bus before replacement.

Confirm matching DC bus polarity, encoder wiring and CUVC control board connection, reserve ventilation clearance, download drive parameters and test speed regulation and fault function after commissioning.

Interface

DC bus +/- terminal, motor output terminal, encoder signal terminal, internal drive bus to control unit, PMU panel port.

Diagnostic

Overcurrent alarm: Motor cable short circuit, encoder fault or acceleration ramp too steep. DC bus overvoltage: Regenerative braking energy without feedback, grid surge or defective infeed. No speed feedback: Encoder wiring open, wrong pulse type or channel damage.
