Module Feature

S30824-Q54-Z-15 is a hot-swappable service interface module of Siemens Q54 telecom series, used for old digital telephone exchange systems.

It provides multi-channel voice and signaling interface, realizes subscriber or trunk signal access and conversion. Designed for telecom standard rack chassis, support online replacement under the permission of system procedure. Coated PCB design, strong anti-interference performance, meet telecom EMC specification. Working principle

The module receives analog voice or digital signaling signal from field trunk/subscriber line. After signal conditioning and codec processing, data is transmitted to the main switching backplane bus. The module continuously monitors line status, detects line open, short and overcurrent fault, and uploads alarm information to the host management system.

Onboard components

Signal codec chip, line interface transformer, isolation protection circuit, backplane bus transceiver, fault detection unit, status LED array, terminal block and flame retardant coated PCB.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Built-in supervision detects line fault, bus communication loss, module power anomaly and hardware failure. Configuration and fault diagnosis are completed by Siemens dedicated telecom OAM software.

Installation
