Yokogawa RCCS38‑A04A2SL DCS I/O Module Unit

Module Feature

RCCS38‑A04A2SL is Yokogawa CENTUM CS3000 DCS remote I/O module. It is installed in remote I/O rack, responsible for collecting on‑site analog and digital signals and executing output control commands from the control station. It communicates with FCS control station through the remote bus, supports hot swap function, widely used in chemical, petrochemical and thermal power process control systems.

Working principle

The module receives commands and parameter data from FCS via remote I/O bus. It samples field sensor signals and converts them into digital bus data and uploads to controller. It converts control instructions into field output signals to drive on‑site actuators.

Onboard components

Signal acquisition circuit, bus communication chip, signal isolation unit, terminal connector, status LED, PCB and modular housing.

LED indicators

LEDs show power, bus link, running and fault alarm status.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Detect bus communication failure, channel overrange, short circuit and power supply abnormality, view diagnostic information via CS3000 engineering station.

Programming software

Configuration and commissioning by Yokogawa CS3000 engineering software.

Installation

Insert module into remote I/O rack slot and lock. Wire field sensors and actuators to terminal block, complete hardware configuration in engineering software and download to FCS.
