900A High Speed Fuse Unit

Module Feature

900A is a high-current aR type fast-acting fuse for protecting IGBT modules, rectifier bridges and power conversion equipment.

It adopts square body DIN standard structure, internal silver sand filling and arc extinguishing medium. It features ultra-fast breaking speed under short-circuit fault to limit let-through energy and protect sensitive semiconductor devices. It has visual blown indicator on the top, widely used for large frequency converter, UPS, solar inverter and DC drive cabinets.

Working principle

When fault current exceeds rated breaking threshold, the fuse element melts instantly.

Arc extinguishing material quenches the electric arc quickly and isolates the fault circuit. It only responds to severe short-circuit current and does not trip under normal rated load and mild overload.

Onboard components

Fuse element, quartz sand arc quenching filler, ceramic/ABS fuse body, metal end caps, blown indicator pin.

LED indicators

No built-in LED. Fuse status is judged by mechanical indicator pin.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

No embedded self-diagnosis. External current monitoring relay can detect open fuse circuit.

Programming software

No supporting configuration software.

Installation

Fix the fuse firmly into matched fuse holder. Check tightening torque of terminal bolts, verify contact resistance before energizing.

Diagnostic

Fuse blown: Short circuit, ground fault or overcurrent on downstream power stage. Overheating: Loose terminal connection or continuous overload.
