Module Feature

U2T-15/400/M/DC/LT/1 belongs to U2T heavy-duty variable frequency drive series. It adopts high-performance IGBT power module, supporting V/F control and sensorless vector control. This unit supports DC bus input, can be matched with external DC power supply system. Low-temperature hardware design ensures reliable startup and stable operation in cold working environment. Equipped with multi-function analog and digital I/O terminals, standard Modbus RTU communication interface to connect PLC and industrial control network. Built-in cooling fan and robust metal housing support continuous heavy-load operation. Widely used for industrial fans, water pumps, medium conveyors and other low-temperature field motor speed control applications.

Working principle

AC or DC power feeds the internal DC bus of the inverter. IGBT power unit converts DC power to AC power with adjustable frequency and voltage to drive the motor. Motor rotation speed is adjusted by changing output frequency. When motor decelerates, regenerative energy flows back to DC bus, external braking resistor dissipates surplus energy to prevent overvoltage fault trip.

Installation

Follow strict ESD and high voltage safety procedure before handling. Mount the drive vertically in control cabinet and reserve sufficient ventilation space. Connect DC bus power cable and motor cable to corresponding terminals, set motor nameplate parameters before commissioning.

Interface

Diagnostic

Drive trip on startup: motor cable short circuit, wrong motor parameters or winding insulation damage. Over temperature fault: cooling fan failure or insufficient cabinet ventilation. No communication: incorrect Modbus station address or wiring error.
