John Deere AL117365/36 Position Limit Switch Unit

Module Feature

AL117365/36 is John Deere original heavy-duty limit switch, widely matched on John Deere tractor, combine harvester and agricultural implement assemblies. It adopts mechanical roller or lever actuation structure, converts mechanical travel displacement into dry contact switching signal for position feedback and travel limit interlock. The housing is dustproof and splash resistant, suitable for field harsh working conditions with dust, vibration and humidity. Built-in silver alloy contact, stable switching performance, long mechanical service life. Terminal wiring design, easy to connect with vehicle ECU and control circuit.

Working principle

When moving mechanical part touches the switch actuator lever/roller, internal contact mechanism triggers and changes contact state (NO/NC). The ECU reads the signal state to judge whether the mechanism reaches preset position, and executes limit stop or safety interlock action. When the contact pressure disappears, the internal spring resets the switch automatically.

Installation

Fix switch bracket to the designated mounting position of the machine, adjust the gap between roller and trigger cam to guarantee reliable stroke action. Wire according to circuit diagram, distinguish normally open and normally closed contacts. After installation, manually trigger the switch and test signal feedback. Keep the actuator clean to avoid straw, mud and debris jamming.

Diagnostic

No signal switching: Actuator stuck by dirt, contact burn or internal spring failure. Unstable signal: Loose mounting bracket, trigger cam misalignment or contact oxidation. Always closed / always open: Internal contact welding or fracture damage.
