216DB61 is an integrated binary input and trip output board for the ABB REG216 generator protection system. It collects external switch status signals such as circuit breaker position and interlock contacts via 16 binary input channels, transmits status data to the main processor board through backplane bus.
The 8 bipolar trip output channels drive external auxiliary trip relays. When internal protection logic detects generator faults, it executes fast trip commands to disconnect primary equipment. The module features trip‑loop monitoring function to detect abnormal conditions of external trip circuits in advance. LED indicators on front panel provide direct visual status for commissioning and daily maintenance. Standard plug‑in 6U Eurocard design allows convenient on‑site module replacement.
This module is widely deployed in thermal power and hydropower plant generator protection cabinets. Cut off all control power before replacement, confirm hardware revision compatibility. Suitable for on‑site fault replacement and long‑term spare stocking for existing REG216 systems.
