Module Feature

ACH220EQ-94AM-F belongs to Alfa Laval AC brazed plate heat exchanger family.

It adopts copper-brazed stainless steel plate construction without rubber gaskets. It is optimized for refrigerant and secondary fluid heat exchange, suitable for R410A, R134a and other common refrigerants. It features compact size, low internal volume and excellent pressure resistance. It is widely applied in water chillers, heat pumps and packaged air conditioning units.

Working principle

Refrigerant and secondary liquid flow through alternate plate channels.

Heat transfers across thin stainless steel plates between two media. Turbulent flow inside channels enhances heat exchange coefficient. The brazed sealing structure prevents cross leakage between refrigerant side and water side.

Onboard components

Stainless steel heat transfer plates, copper brazing alloy, steel end cover plates, threaded sweat connection ports, positioning support frame.

No built-in electronic diagnostic. Performance inspection is carried out by pressure test, leak detection and temperature difference monitoring.

Installation

Fix the heat exchanger steadily, avoid stress on pipe nozzles.

Connect refrigerant and water pipelines, perform nitrogen pressure holding leak test before filling refrigerant.

Diagnostic

Low heat exchange efficiency: Fouling on plate surface, insufficient flow rate or air trapped inside. External leakage: Crack on brazed joint, overpressure impact or nozzle mechanical stress. Internal cross leakage: Plate rupture caused by fatigue or freeze damage.
