1771‑ASC is the remote I/O adapter module of Allen‑Bradley 1771 series, used for PLC‑5 control system. It acts as a communication bridge between the remote I/O chassis and the main processor through the remote I/O bus. It supports block data transmission, can collect field I/O signals and forward commands from the main CPU.
