The Beckhoff BK3110 is an economy PROFIBUS-DP bus coupler linking a PROFIBUS master to the modular Bus Terminal I/O station.

It supports up to 64 Bus Terminals (512 digital I/O points) with 64 bytes input and 64 bytes output process image.

It auto-detects connected terminals and maps I/O signals into the process image automatically on startup.

It negotiates data transfer rate automatically up to 12 Mbaud over shielded PROFIBUS copper cable.

It provides a 9-pin D-sub slave interface and supplies the K-bus to downstream terminals.

It is widely used as spare replacement in PROFIBUS DP distributed I/O cabinets.
