Products Description
Consolidated Airborne TTU-229A/E Slide-Raft Test Tool Unit

Module Feature
TTU-229A/E is Consolidated Airborne dedicated test set for aircraft evacuation slide and slide-raft assembly. It provides controlled regulated air source to simulate the inflation gas cylinder output, to perform leak test, inflation sequence check and pressure holding verification on emergency evacuation slide/raft without using the original high-pressure gas bottle. It supports Airbus and Boeing series passenger aircraft evacuation slide maintenance, overhaul and periodic inspection. It follows aircraft AMM, CMM maintenance procedure, widely adopted by airline maintenance bases and aviation MRO facilities.
Working principle
Compressed dry air is input to the test set, internal precision pressure regulator and flow control valve stabilize output pressure and flow rate matching the inflation curve of original CO₂/air mixed cylinder. The calibrated outlet connects to slide inflation inlet. Operator controls air supply to complete slow inflation, pressure hold and leak inspection, verifies slide fabric expansion, valve action and pressure relief function without triggering permanent deployment of the slide pack. Built-in gauge monitors real-time test pressure.
Onboard components
Precision pressure regulator, flow control valve, calibrated pressure gauge, quick-disconnect aviation coupling, shut-off valve, safety relief valve, filter assembly, test hose, carrying protective case.
LED indicators
No LED indicators; pressure value is read from analog calibrated pressure gauge.
Hardware self‑diagnosis
No electronic self-diagnosis. Pre-test inspection includes gauge calibration validity, hose crack, connector seal, regulator stability and safety valve functionality.
Programming software
No supporting software. All test operations follow paper maintenance manual and test card, manual pressure recording.

Installation
Connect dry clean compressed air supply to test set inlet. Attach test hose to evacuation slide inflation port per AMM. Slowly adjust regulator to target test pressure, hold pressure for specified duration and observe leakage and relief valve action. Release pressure fully after test and disconnect coupling.
Interface
Compressed air inlet port, regulated test air outlet with aviation quick coupling.
Diagnostic
Unable to build pressure:Air supply insufficient, regulator failure, hose or connector leakage. Pressure cannot hold:Slide fabric leak, relief valve on test set or slide faulty. Pressure surges out of range:Regulator malfunction, inlet pressure unstable.
Product Brief
Consolidated Airborne TTU-229A/E portable test set for aircraft evacuation slide and slide-raft, provides regulated dry air for inflation, pressure hold and leak testing in airline MRO and overhaul workshop, avoids consumption of original inflation gas cylinder during maintenance inspection.
