Module Feature

GLG5416 belongs to Honeywell MICRO SWITCH GLG series global plug‑in type limit switch. It adopts modular design, separate actuator head, switch body and contact block for easy replacement. Die‑cast metal shell, IP67 protection grade, built‑in single LED status indicator. The normally closed contact is positive opening type, which meets the safety circuit requirements. The installation dimension follows EN50041 standard. It is widely used for machine tool stroke limit, conveyor position detection, safety gate interlock, packaging equipment and outdoor mechanical position feedback.

Working principle

When the mechanical actuator head is touched and pushed by moving parts, the internal snap‑action contact block acts quickly. It switches the on/off state of the control circuit and feeds back the position signal to PLC or safety relay. The built‑in LED light shows whether the switch is powered on and triggered. Positive opening contact ensures reliable disconnection under fault conditions for safety interlock scenarios.

Installation

Fix the switch on the fixed bracket according to EN50041 mounting hole. Adjust the trigger position to ensure the actuator head can be reliably touched by moving parts. Connect the control cable to the contact terminal, check the LED indication and signal switching action after power on.

Diagnostic
