Products Description
Eaton MWI616 Magnum ACB Unit

Module Feature
MWI616 belongs to Eaton Magnum series draw-out air circuit breaker.
It is designed for low voltage main incoming and bus-coupler distribution application, equipped with electronic trip unit for adjustable protection curves. Draw-out structure provides connection, test and isolation three positions for convenient maintenance. It supports power measurement and communication expansion, widely used in industrial plant, data center and power distribution cabinet.
Working principle
Current transformer samples three-phase current and transmits signal to electronic trip unit.
When overload, short circuit or earth fault occurs, trip unit releases mechanical mechanism to open main contacts and extinguish fault current by arc chute. Electrical data and fault records can be uploaded to upper monitoring system via communication module.
Onboard components
Main contact assembly, arc extinguish chamber, current transformer, electronic trip controller, motor charging mechanism, draw-out base, secondary terminal block.
LED indicators
Front LEDs display ready status, closing position, trip alarm and protection fault.
Hardware self‑diagnosis
Trip unit continuously monitors CT circuit, controller hardware and coil state, records fault event information.
Programming software
Eaton Power Xpert Software, used for protection setting, electrical parameter monitoring and fault log export.
