System compatibility

10GB-BX10-D is Extreme original 10G bidirectional single-fiber SFP+ transceiver. Compatible with Extreme Summit and VSP series switches equipped with SFP+ slots. It must be paired with 10GB-BX10-U module at the opposite end of the single fiber link. Supports DOM real-time monitoring of optical power, temperature, supply voltage and laser bias current. Widely used in enterprise campus and factory 10G backbone when fiber resources are limited.

Function

10GB-BX10-D uses WDM bidirectional transmission technology, transmitting and receiving optical signals over one single-mode fiber. It transmits at 1330nm and receives at 1270nm, matched with 10GB-BX10-U on remote side. DOM function can read real-time operating parameters of the transceiver. This module saves fiber cores for 10km 10G point-to-point singlemode fiber interconnection.

Installation

Wear ESD anti-static wrist strap. Insert the SFP+ module fully into the SFP+ port of switch. Connect LC simplex singlemode fiber patch cord. Confirm the far-end transceiver is 10GB-BX10-U. Power on the equipment, verify module identification, DOM optical power reading and link status via switch CLI before commissioning.
