Function

5420F-24T-4XE is universal non-PoE gigabit edge switch. The 24 RJ45 ports provide wired access for PC, printer, server and network terminals. 4 SFP+ slots offer high-speed 10G fiber uplink. Two SFP-DD ports deliver high bandwidth stacking. Built-in MACsec for link-layer encryption. Supports static routing, VLAN, QoS, port security, storm control, ACL and network monitoring. Flexible OS selection adapts to traditional switched network or fabric architecture.

Installation

Mount the switch to standard 19-inch 1RU rack. Connect protective earthing and AC power cord. Connect RJ45 cables to end network devices. Insert SFP/SFP+ transceiver into SFP+ slot and connect fiber cable. Boot and select Switch Engine or Fabric Engine OS. Configure via console or ExtremeCloud IQ. Verify port negotiation, MACsec and stacking status after commissioning.
