System compatibility

AL3600A16-E6 is Extreme ERS3600 series stackable PoE routing switch, model ERS3650GTS-PWR+. Combo SFP slots support 1G SX/LX/BiDi transceivers; SFP+ ports compatible with Extreme 10G SR/LR optical modules. Managed via local CLI or Element Manager. Widely used for legacy enterprise campus, high density Wi-Fi AP and IP camera PoE access. Stackable with other ERS3600 switches to expand access network capacity.

Function

AL3600A16-E6 is Layer3 gigabit PoE routing switch. 48 PoE+ RJ45 ports supply power to wireless AP, IP camera and IP phone. 2 combo SFP ports for long-distance gigabit fiber access. Four SFP+ ports deliver 10G high-speed uplink or stacking. Supports static routing, RIP, VLAN, QoS, storm control, port security, Fabric Connect and network monitoring. Virtual stacking simplifies large campus network management.

Installation

Mount switch into standard 19-inch 1RU rack. Connect protective earthing and AC power cable. Connect RJ45 cables to PoE powered devices. Insert SFP/SFP+ transceiver and fiber cable. Configure through serial console or Element Manager. Verify port negotiation, PoE power budget and stacking status after commissioning.
