Function

Summit X460-24t is 1U high-performance stackable Layer3 Gigabit non-PoE access switch for enterprise campus and office. 24 gigabit copper ports connect desktop PCs, printers and non-PoE network terminals. Four combo ports offer flexible uplink choice via copper or fiber medium. Dual rear expansion slots support XGM3 10G uplink card and SummitStack stacking module. SummitStack technology combines multiple switches into one logical device for unified management. Supports IPv4/IPv6 static routing, 802.1X access authentication, VLAN segmentation and hardware QoS to prioritize voice and video traffic. Installation

Follow ESD protection procedure. Mount switch to standard 19-inch 1U rack. Connect AC power cord. Install secondary redundant PSU if required. Insert SFP transceiver for fiber uplink or install XGM3 10G card for high-speed uplink. Install stacking module and stacking cable for multi-unit stacking. Access serial console port for initial ExtremeXOS configuration, set VLAN, ACL and QoS policy. Verify stack synchronization and port connectivity after power-up.
