Function

X460-48T-2 is 1U high-performance stackable gigabit access switch manufactured by Extreme Networks. It provides 48 gigabit copper ports for terminal access, 4 combo SFP ports for fiber extension. Rear option slots support optional 10G uplink or stacking modules. SummitStack technology combines multiple physical switches as one logical unit to simplify centralized management. Installation

Follow ESD protection procedure. Mount switch to standard 19-inch 1U rack. Install AC power supplies and fan tray. Insert SFP / 10G uplink modules if fiber uplink required. Use Cat5e/Cat6 copper cables for gigabit terminals. Access serial console port for initial ExtremeXOS configuration, set VLAN, stacking, routing and QoS policy. Verify port connectivity and stack status after power-up.
