System compatibility

V400-24t-10GE2 belongs to Extreme V400 series enterprise edge switch family. Compatible with Extreme certified SFP+ transceivers and DAC cables. Supports stacking with other V400 series switches. Designed for enterprise office, factory and campus gigabit access layer network. Widely used for LAN upgrade and spare replacement.

Function

V400-24t-10GE2 is 1U stackable gigabit edge switch manufactured by Extreme Networks. It provides 24 gigabit copper ports for desktop terminal access and 2×10G SFP+ uplink ports to aggregation or core switch. Stacking function combines multiple physical switches as one logical unit to simplify centralized network management. Supports full IPv4/IPv6 routing, 802.1X port authentication, VLAN segmentation and hardware QoS. Built-in power supply reduces deployment complexity. Widely deployed for campus, factory and commercial building access network spare replacement.

Installation

Follow ESD protection procedure. Mount switch to standard 19-inch 1U rack. Connect AC power cord. Insert SFP+ transceivers or DAC cables for high-speed uplink. Use Cat5e/Cat6 copper cables for gigabit terminals. Access serial console port for initial ExtremeXOS configuration, set VLAN, stacking, routing and QoS policy. Verify port connectivity and stack status after power-up.
