Function

BR-VDX6740-64-R is 1U high-performance data center leaf switch. It delivers high-density 10G access ports and 40G uplink ports for server rack connections. VCS fabric technology combines multiple VDX switches into a single logical device, simplifying network management. Partial ports work as FlexPort to run FCoE, converging storage and LAN traffic on same infrastructure. Supports complete L2/L3 routing, DCB lossless ethernet, 802.1X authentication and hardware QoS. Installation

Follow ESD protection procedure. Mount switch to standard 19-inch 1U rack. Connect AC power cords to both power supplies. Insert SFP+/QSFP+ transceivers for server access and uplink connection. Access serial console port for initial NOS configuration, set VCS fabric, VLAN, routing and QoS policy. Verify fabric formation and port connectivity after power-up. Activate PoD license to unlock full 64×10G ports if needed.
