FunctionUV1A50 is non self-check ultraviolet flame scanner manufactured by Fireye. It uses Geiger-Muller UV tube to detect ultraviolet flicker radiation from combustion flame and transmit flame signal to matched flame safeguard amplifier. This model does not support continuous real-time self-check; burner control system verifies scanner integrity on every burner start and stop cycle. When flame extinguishes, flame signal disappears, burner controller triggers safety lockout and cuts fuel supply to eliminate explosion hazard. The 50-inch pre-wired shielded cable simplifies field wiring work. Widely deployed for industrial boiler and furnace flame continuous monitoring and spare replacement.

InstallationFollow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Mount UV1A50 onto burner sight port via 1/2 inch FNPT insulated coupling, align quartz viewing window toward flame. Keep lens free of soot contamination. Route 50-inch shielded cable to matched Fireye UV amplifier, strictly follow Fireye wiring schematic. Execute burner cycling test and flame signal strength verification during commissioning.
