GAC 0306-4971-01 Fuel Control Actuator Unit

Module Feature

0306-4971-01 is a linear fuel control actuator manufactured by GAC, designed for electronic governor systems of stationary diesel engines and generator sets.

It adopts a compact enclosed metal housing, built-in linear drive coil, feedback position sensor and return spring. It receives 0–5V or PWM command signals from the speed controller and pushes the fuel rack linearly. It integrates continuous position feedback signal for closed-loop speed regulation. It is widely applied on standby generator sets, industrial pumping engines and marine auxiliary engines for spare replacement and governor retrofit.

Working principle

When the governor controller sends out a control signal, the coil generates magnetic force to drive the internal armature and fuel rack.

The integrated position sensor feeds back the real rack position back to the controller to form closed-loop regulation. If power fails, the built-in return spring pulls the rack back to the fuel cut-off position for engine shutdown protection.

Onboard components

Alloy actuator housing, electromagnetic coil assembly, linear armature, potentiometer/Hall position feedback sensor, return spring, fuel rack connecting rod, sealed wiring terminal.

LED indicators

No built-in LED. Actuator position and fault status are displayed on matched governor control panel.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

No independent self-check circuit. The paired governor detects open feedback circuit, coil open/short and travel overrun.

Programming software

GAC Governor Configuration Tool, used for speed droop setting, actuator stroke calibration and fault monitoring.

Installation

Secure the actuator to the fuel pump bracket, align the connecting rod with fuel rack and avoid side load. Connect 24V power, control signal and feedback wiring, perform stroke and zero calibration before engine start.

Diagnostic

No response: Burned coil, missing control power or broken signal wire. Unstable speed: Weak feedback signal, loose connecting rod or excessive friction on fuel rack. Fail to shutdown: Stuck armature or failed return spring.
