Module Feature

IC2820-C100M3 belongs to GE IC2820 series. It is an undervoltage monitoring relay for industrial power distribution cabinet. This GE relay monitors AC supply voltage continuously. When system voltage drops below the preset threshold, relay will act and change contact state to send alarm or trip command. Equipped with 1NO+1NC dry contact outputs and digital input/output interface. Heavy-duty flame retardant housing, anti-vibration and reliable contact performance. Widely used in power distribution panel, motor control center and low voltage switchgear for bus undervoltage protection.

Working principle

GE IC2820-C100M3 detects real-time supply voltage. If the measured voltage falls below undervoltage setting value, internal trigger circuit activates relay coil. The 1NO/1NC contacts switch synchronously to trigger alarm or cut off downstream load. When voltage recovers above reset threshold, relay resets automatically. Digital I/O port supports remote status upload to PLC or SCADA.

Onboard components

Voltage sampling circuit, comparison logic board, relay coil, silver alloy contact group, reset mechanism, flame retardant plastic housing, screw terminal block.

Installation

Cut off all power before operation. Mount GE IC2820-C100M3 relay on DIN rail or mounting plate. Wire monitored voltage input and signal contact terminals. Adjust undervoltage threshold according to system requirement, test relay action.

Interface

Voltage input screw terminals, NO/NC contact terminals, DIO signal terminals.

Diagnostic

Relay fails to trigger: input voltage missing or threshold setting error. Contact no switching: coil burnout or mechanical stuck. Intermittent signal: loose wiring or contact oxidation.
