IC698CRE040 is the high‑performance hot‑standby redundant CPU processor of GE Fanuc PACSystem RX7i VME‑based PAC platform。

This module adopts 1.8GHz Pentium‑M industrial processor, equipped with 64MB RAM and 64MB flash memory, provides powerful real‑time logic operation, floating‑point calculation and data storage capacity. It supports multiple IEC‑61131‑3 programming languages, can execute complex continuous‑process control logic for large industrial sites。

As a redundancy‑enabled CPU, it can build hot‑standby redundant control system by pairing with another IC698CRE040 and IC698RMX016 memory‑exchange module. The standby CPU keeps synchronizing user program, variables and running status from primary CPU, realizes bumpless switchover when main CPU fails, greatly improves system reliability for critical production processes。

Dual independent Ethernet ports can realize network redundancy configuration, supports EGD real‑time data exchange, Modbus‑TCP client/server communication.
